My heart shattered. I could feel the pieces falling inside my chest. "You're sorry? You've been sleeping with another woman and you're sorry?" My voice cracked. "What about our kids? Our life?"

He dropped into the chair opposite me. "I don't know. I've been confused. She understands me in ways you don't."

That was the knife twist. "Understands you? I've been there for every promotion, every illness, every sleepless night. I gave up my career to raise our children. And you throw it away for a 'connection'?"

Tears streamed down my face. He sat silent, head bowed. I stood up. "I need you to leave. Tonight. I can't look at you."

He didn't argue. He packed a bag and left. The door clicked shut, and I slid to the floor, sobbing. Our wedding photo on the mantel seemed to mock me.

The next morning, I called a lawyer. I texted my sister for support. I told the kids Daddy was on a business trip. I don't know how we'll recover. But I do know this: a simple Bluetooth connection, a chance red light, revealed a truth I was blind to. Sometimes the universe forces you to see what you've been ignoring. And sometimes that vision arrives through a speaker, carrying the voice of a stranger who stole your husband's heart.

I haven't seen him since that night at the kitchen table. The divorce is under way. The kids ask when Daddy's coming home. I lie. I say soon. But I know the truth: some connections, once broken, can never be paired again.
