เราเตอร์ที่เก็บความลับของเธอ

สามีรู้เรื่องชู้ของภรรยาจากบันทึกของเราเตอร์ Wi-Fi หลังจากเธอเริ่มหวงโทรศัพท์ผิดปกติ

I never thought our home network would reveal the truth my wife was hiding. I'm David, a network engineer for a midsize tech firm. Amanda and I have been married for eight years, living in a quiet suburban neighborhood with our golden retriever, Max. Our life was comfortable, predictable—until three weeks ago.

It started with small changes. Amanda, who used to leave her phone on the kitchen counter, now kept it glued to her palm. She angled the screen away when I walked by, and at night, she placed it face-down on her nightstand. When I asked who she was texting, she'd say "Just work stuff" or "Mom," but her answers came too fast, too vague.

The breaking point came last Thursday. I was working late in my home office, and she popped her head in to say she was going to bed. Thirty minutes later, I went to grab a glass of water. The bathroom door was shut, light spilling under the gap. I heard the muffled tap of her fingers on the screen, then the flush. She stepped out, phone in hand, startled to see me. "Didn't expect you up," she said, forcing a smile. I shrugged, but my gut churned.

The next day, I decided to stop chasing her passcode. Instead, I logged into our router's admin panel from my laptop. The interface was familiar—I'd set it up myself. I navigated to logs and ran a report filtering by her phone's MAC address. The list populated fast: a steady stream of DNS requests to 'discreetmeetup.com' and a subdomain I didn't recognize, 'chat.encryptix.io'. My chest tightened. I copied the entries, saved a screenshot, and closed the browser.

For two more days, I watched the logs quietly. Every night, around 10 PM, the same URLs pinged. I felt a coldness spread through my veins. On Saturday morning, I confronted her.

We were in the kitchen. Amanda was pouring coffee, her back to me. I set my laptop on the table and opened the log file. "Can you explain this?" I asked, my voice flat.

She turned, saw the screen, and froze. "What is that?"

"DNS requests from your phone to a hookup site and an encrypted messaging server. Every night for weeks."

Her face drained. She set down the mug with a clatter. "You're monitoring me?"

"No. I'm looking at our router logs. You can't hide from your own network traffic, Amanda."

She didn't deny it. Instead, she started crying—not remorseful tears, but angry ones. "You shouldn't have snooped."

"I shouldn't have had to," I shot back. "Who is he?"

"It doesn't matter." She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. "We've been drifting for years, David. You spend more time with your servers than with me."

I stared at her, stunned. "So you decided to cheat instead of talking to me?"

"I tried. You never listen."

The argument spiraled—accusations, defenses, bitter words. I felt my world tilt. In the end, she left the room, slamming the bedroom door. I stayed at the kitchen table, staring at the blinking lights of the router on the shelf. It had always been a convenience, a tool. Now it felt like an accomplice—or a witness.

The house is quiet tonight. Amanda is packing in the other room. I sit here, watching Max sleep by the fireplace, and I realize that the truth I uncovered wasn't just in the logs. It was in every averted glance, every quick answer, every face-down phone. The router simply gave it a voice.

I don't know what happens next. But I know that the next time I look at those blinking lights, I'll remember how a piece of plastic and silicon exposed the biggest lie of my life.
