Lower the bar for reading
Try essays, poetry, short fiction, illustrated books, audio, or a few pages at a time. Keep a book near where you rest and let yourself stop without guilt. You do not need to turn recovery into homework.
If nothing holds your attention, return to basics: water, food, daylight, and a trusted voice. Focus often returns gradually when the body has more safety and rest.
