How listening works
Read-aloud on every story
Open any story and tap Listen. Your phone or computer reads it aloud with its built-in voices. It's free and nothing is downloaded.
Your voice, your speed
Choose from the voices your device offers and set the speed from 0.8× to 1.75×. We remember both, and if you stop halfway we pick up where you left off.
Narrated episodes, as they come
We are starting to publish stories narrated with a consistent AI voice, in the podcast feed below. It's a small, growing selection. Most stories are available through read-aloud only.
Narrated episodes
Podcast RSS feedNo narrated episodes yet. The first ones will appear here and in the podcast feed. Until then, read-aloud works on every story.

Listening FAQ
Can I listen to cheating stories for free?
Yes. Every story on BetrayStories can be read aloud for free in your browser, with no account or app. Open a story and tap Listen.
Are these real stories?
They are anonymous, first-person accounts of cheating and betrayal. Names, places and identifying details are removed or changed before publishing.
Who narrates the stories?
Read-aloud uses the voices built into your own device. Narrated episodes use an AI voice, and we label them that way. We don't use human voice actors.
