Make boundaries clear and workable
A useful boundary is specific: “If messages are deleted again, I will pause this conversation and stay elsewhere tonight.” It names your action, not a threat you cannot carry out.
Boundaries can cover contact with an affair partner, disclosure, time apart, money, and conversations. Revisit them as facts change. They are not surveillance systems or proof that you are unreasonable; they are a way to make safety visible.
